Job Requirements:

4 I5 O: }. Y& W* A1. Possess a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school (J.D.)
2. Admitted to the Bar in New York
3. Previous Law firm or Litigation experience
1 }0 b' Y1 H2 V" x" K: c+ b/ z3 x- @4. Individual should have strong legal research and organizational skills
5. Can speak both English and Chinese; and possess excellent written and verbal skills

. {& x: j3 k4 B, m" |7 o8 fThe New York Chinese Legal Service Center provides various services for Chinese residents in the U.S. including:
) \. w/ B- P$ @3 q: B
1、Efficient handling of marriage green card applications, family sponsorships, and various immigration cases
2、Reentry permits, application for citizenship, green card, work permit applications, and extensions
2 k# j) Y) T  G" U: V% ~3、Passport applications and renewals for both China and the U.S., embassy-authorized notarization and authentication
4、Obtaining a Taxpayer identification number for individuals without legal status, personal and corporate tax filings, handling various tax bureau correspondences.
3 B/ f& K+ s1 x; l& p5、Applying for government housing, elderly apartments, food stamps, cash subsidies, and various welfare benefits.
9 {; h  c, d9 q/ Q. h6、Processing retirement pensions, red and blue cards, bank cards, medicare cards, medicaid cards, senior citizen half-price subway cards, etc.
7、Student visa applications, F-1 visas, from application to obtaining an I-20 and then scheduling a visa appointment.
