, \$ K) C% \5 e; ^% A. F4 i: j1. Earned a J.D. degree and admitted to practice law in the U.S. with good standing
2. 1-3 years of law experience preferred
$ N4 o8 D. o! z! e9 z" [6 Y5 n3. Fluency in English and Chinese (Written and oral) is strongly preferred
4. Excellent writing, legal research, and oral presentation skills
5. Ability to multitask and also manage heavy load

6 H$ A  h0 }5 z+ bThe New York Chinese Legal Service Center provides various services for Chinese residents in the U.S. including:

8 {) `+ k4 P- X" h) c; V0 `1、Efficient handling of marriage green card applications, family sponsorships, and various immigration cases
5 J8 n' G  F; m4 h$ }2、Reentry permits, application for citizenship, green card, work permit applications, and extensions
4 K# Z9 ^+ |) h4 W" e3、Passport applications and renewals for both China and the U.S., embassy-authorized notarization and authentication
; x# J+ Z1 e& L) a$ k: n4、Obtaining a Taxpayer identification number for individuals without legal status, personal and corporate tax filings, handling various tax bureau correspondences.
8 u* j' ~  x6 o) s+ w5、Applying for government housing, elderly apartments, food stamps, cash subsidies, and various welfare benefits.
6、Processing retirement pensions, red and blue cards, bank cards, medicare cards, medicaid cards, senior citizen half-price subway cards, etc.
7、Student visa applications, F-1 visas, from application to obtaining an I-20 and then scheduling a visa appointment.
