Job Requirements

' Z8 ?6 H4 s3 z1. Earned a J.D. degree and admitted to practice law in the U.S. with good standing
2. 1-3 years of law experience preferred
3. Fluency in English and Chinese (Written and oral) is strongly preferred
4. Excellent writing, legal research, and oral presentation skills

. J* e: |# N6 @2 FThe New York Chinese Legal Service Center provides various services for Chinese residents in the U.S. including:
2 W0 g) |7 [# |& V7 k/ M2 n
1、Efficient handling of marriage green card applications, family sponsorships, and various immigration cases
& H" M" @0 N3 t/ K# m0 B2、Reentry permits, application for citizenship, green card, work permit applications, and extensions
$ D) Z0 u3 U3 f) @& x; K3、Passport applications and renewals for both China and the U.S., embassy-authorized notarization and authentication
4、Obtaining a Taxpayer identification number for individuals without legal status, personal and corporate tax filings, handling various tax bureau correspondences.
  S3 D6 S* s" `5、Applying for government housing, elderly apartments, food stamps, cash subsidies, and various welfare benefits.
6、Processing retirement pensions, red and blue cards, bank cards, medicare cards, medicaid cards, senior citizen half-price subway cards, etc.
7、Student visa applications, F-1 visas, from application to obtaining an I-20 and then scheduling a visa appointment.
